CHEE Churchill Scholar Collects MPhil Diploma

CHEE alumna Jeannie Wilkening was named a Churchill Scholar in 2016 for outstanding academic achievement and proven research talent, making her one of only 15 students across the country who receive this award each year.

After completing her one-year master’s degree program -- researching carbon, sulfur and iron cycling in marshes, and the climate implications thereof, with Alexandra Turchyn at the University of Cambridge in England -- Wilkening attended a convocation ceremony there on July 21 and received her Master of Philosophy in earth sciences from Churchill College.
