Christopher Jabczynski has been named the 2016 recipient of the UA Provost Award, which is given each spring to an outstanding graduating student who transferred to the University of Arizona from an Arizona community college.

Jabczynski started his coursework at Pima Community College. Since joining the CHEE community, he has served as an Engineering Ambassador, an officer in the UA chapter of AIChE and president of the UA chapter of Omega Chi Epsilon.

A 2015 NASA Space Grant intern, he has performed research with department chair Anthony Muscat and University Distinguished Professor Paul Blowers.

He will receive a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in May. After Commencement, Jabczynski plans to work in the consumer goods industry while pursuing a graduate degree.
