Anthony Muscat, professor and chair of chemical and environmental engineering at the University of Arizona, is examining ways to develop extremely small material for everything from computers to medical devices.

The technology has already given medical scientists the ability to directly target cancer-causing cells, and it's also being studied to diagnose and treat the buildup of plaque in the body's arteries.

Learn more about Muscat's research in the July 12 episode of Arizona Science with UA Regents' Professor Emerita Leslie Tolbert.
