CHEE Graduates Shine at Convocation

CHEE welcomed 80 undergraduates and 11 graduate students to the ranks of its alums at the department convocation on Saturday, May 13. Cheered on by more than 700 family and friends, all students had moments in the spotlight as they walked across the stage to receive their graduation plaques and alumni t-shirts.

Outstanding Achievements

Several students received additional recognition, including College of Engineering ambassadors, outstanding achievers, and Craig M. Berge Design Day award winners.

  • Ashley Duncan and Jamie Scott – Outstanding Seniors
  • Jack Hughes – Don H. White Award for academic achievement
  • Jamie Scott and Daniella Roberts – Dr. William Scott Bousman Memorial Award for excellence in the lab
  • Abraham Arvizu, Chandler Canant, Dallan Graybill, Olivia McNally, Sophia Mischke, Meg Richards, Jamie Scott, Curtis Shoemaker, Reese Tamooka, John Totaro, and Sophia Qamar, Unit Operation Process Controls Lab Award
  • David Salazar, Jonathan Romero, and Matt Dailey – Outstanding Teaching Assistants
  • Brendan Green, Bryce Long, Arleth Ortiz and Sam Herschler – Best CHEE senior design team for their project "HMF Production Using Agro-Waste"
  • Lily Heuertz, Meg Richards, Reese Tamooka and Curtis Shoemaker – Best CHEE senior design team for their project "Heat Transfer Test Bed"
