College honors outstanding CHEE students, teaching assistants
'With a perfect GPA and consistently at the top of her class, she exemplifies true academic excellence,' says Kimberly Ogden, professor and department chair of chemical and environmental engineering, about outstanding senior Zoe Johnson.
The College of Engineering honored 17 undergraduate seniors, nine graduate students, and 10 teaching assistants for top performance in academics and research in the University of Arizona Student Union Memorial Center on April 8.
"This is one of the best days of the year," said David W. Hahn, the Craig M. Berge Dean of the college.
CHEE seniors Zoe Johnson and Ryan Cotter, graduate student Hercilio Zimila and teaching assistants Isaiah Hernandez and Reema Shinh were recognized for their achievements.
“Ryan is one of the most exceptional students I’ve had, both in the classroom and beyond," said Cherie DeVore, assistant professor of CHEE. "What sets Ryan apart is not just his academic success, but his leadership, service and commitment to others.”
