CHEE professor and University Distinguished Scholar Armin Sorooshian spoke with KJZZ about his research on lower-altitude ozone.

In a conversation with Sam Dingman, Sorooshian highlighted the dangers that ozone exposure can present.

"Ozone has harmful effects because if we inhale it, it is an irritant, it's bad for our lungs," Sorooshian told KJZZ. "It could lead to a coughing, scratchy throat and could lead to long-term effects like emphysema, chronic bronchitis... it could lead to asthma attacks."
