The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering (CHEE) focuses on water reuse, desalination and chemistry. Faculty design technologies to produce clean and safe water from unconventional sources, such as wastewater and contaminated groundwater. Specific expertise includes the integration of membranes and advanced oxidation processes, using renewable energy sources and computational tools.
